The Dartmouth College Library seeks an innovative, service enthusiastic professional for the position of Business & Engineering Librarian. Reporting to the Head of Feldberg Business-Engineering Library, the Business & Engineering Librarian delivers valued information, education and liaison service to faculty, students, research and academic staff at the Tuck School of Business, the Thayer School of Engineering, and Dartmouth College. The librarian works in a collaborative, team-based environment to provide quick answers and solutions, and in-depth research assistance for complex research inquiries and projects. In addition to supporting the research and teaching priorities of the Tuck and Thayer Schools, the librarian works closely with colleagues in interdisciplinary programs in medicine, social sciences and applied sciences, as well as a distance learning degree program, and serves on library-wide committees or task forces.

QUALIFICATIONS:

MLS from an ALA-accredited program and 3 years relevant experience in an academic or corporate research library. Demonstrated working knowledge of and experience with a range of business information resources (including Thomson ONE Banker, Bloomberg, DataStream, Capital IQ, OneSource, Factiva); citation databases (Web of Knowledge); and scholarly and research databases from Proquest, EBSCO, Elsevier and other academic and professional publishers. A strong commitment to responsive user service, the ability to prioritize work and meet multiple deadlines, as well as excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, and the ability to work collegially in a team environment are essential. Experience with working in an online, distance education environment is desirable.

RANK AND SALARY:

The position is part of the Librarian Classification System of Professional Ranks. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Full benefits package including 22 vacation days; comprehensive health care; retirement plans, including TIAA-CREF; and relocation assistance.
