Let's not use Information Professionals. That term covers many occupations including accountants, journalists, and statisticians. Information Specialists may be somewhat better. The name change could be ISIS (International Society of Information Specialists).

However, I've always preferred invoking Iris, the messenger of the gods on Olympus, who's associated with communication and the rainbow not to mention my favorite flower. Just think of the logo possibilities!

I wonder when the research group is going to make their own suggested named? I'm really looking forward to that since it will be based upon all of that detailed research with our stakeholders.
