Effective March 15, 2011 the primary space for connecting with the Leadership & Management Division is via the WordPress driven website at lmd.sla.org.
2007 - moved print and pdf newsletter, IMPACT to blog format
2008 - wiki access provided through SLA. Implemented wiki as primary "website" and moved content from "traditional" website to wiki (http://wiki.sla.org/SLALMD
Retained older photos on website and kept homepage for those who had links (navigation only)
IMPACT still maintained as separate blog
Generally not too successful
2009 - SLA Director Daniel Lee announced interest in WordPress platform that would be housed by a third party. WordPress could easily integrate social media applications as well as act as a Content Management System. Ease of use for all, decentralized author/editor capabilities an asset.
2010 - WordPress available with SLA templates, login access and unit-friendly URLs made available (lmd.sla.org)
2011 - Jan-March - Set up LMD site, migrated most of the "current" content from wiki, imported Reading Club blog and IMPACT blog content into the new site.
Some older files maintained on wiki, specifically PDF files for older minutes, back issues of IMPACT, LMD session lists and presentations)
March - removed/moved superseded content on wiki into Archives section.
