Knowledge Operations Assistant
Position: Knowledge Operations Assistant (this is a 6 month contract position, 40 hours/week. Possibility of role becoming permanent at end of 6 months)

Overview:
The Knowledge Operations Assistant will help support supplier activities for McKinsey and Company, a leading management consulting firm. This role will focus on the procurement and management of third party content used for business research.
In this role, you will be exposed to purchasing, negotiating and resource / knowledge management. You will gain an appreciation for the landscape of business research, analytical tools and datasets within a world class corporate research function. Special projects can be tailored to fit individual requirements.
Major Responsibilities
- Perform a range of administrative and support tasks for various user communities including:
- Billing system maintenance - entering payments to support reporting processes, troubleshooting payment errors
- Internal cost allocations - downloading, manipulating data sets in Excel for accounting allocations and usage analysis
- Budget process support - creating and populating templates to analyze unit performance
- Current awareness/newsletter dissemination - drafting notes to user communities related to new product information and contract terms
- Database input - audit and maintenance of contract database and budget tools
- Organization of physical and electronic information collections - supporting virtual team room libraries to ensure compliance with firm standards, maintaining the office libraries
- Purchasing of selected external resources - locating and procuring articles, market research, books to support office researchers
- Website maintenance - creation of online communities and wikis within intranet to support team collaboration
