SLA conference hotels start at $159 per night
Hotel Seattle is a smaller and older two star hotel located about three tenths of a mile from the conference center. Rooms currently start at $95 a night (plus tax). My wife and I stayed here at ALA Midwinter in 2007, and I'll stay here again for SLA. Its aging and has small rooms, but it was clean. If you're a college student or a new librarian on a tight budget (and don't want to stay a mile or more out!), you might consider this. However, if you're looking for wireless, a pool, exercise rooms, or pretty much anything more just than a place to sleep, don't stay here!
