Karen Huffman
Over the last few years, Karen has spoken and consulted with organizations such as the World Bank and DTIC, professional associations, local library schools, and Maryland and Virginia public libraries interested in Web 2.0 technologies such as RSS, Podcasting, mashups, wikis and other social networks. In 2007 Karen received LexisNexis Innovations in Technology Award and Nielsen Norman's Top Ten Corporate Intranets for her work re-designing and developing National Geographic's corporate intranet and integrating Web 2.0 technologies such as RSS, wikis and blogs. Marie Kaddell
Marie Kaddell is editor of the LexisNexis Government Info Pro blog at www.governmentinfopro.com. She also produces the Government Info Pro podcast, available on iTunes. She edits and compiles the annual Best Practices for Government Libraries collaborative document. She has been published in BITE: Bulletin of the Information Technology Division of SLA, One-Person Library, and SLA Legal Division Quarterly. She is the Senior Information Professional Consultant at LexisNexis for government librarians and in 2007 was named LexisNexis Federal Consultant of the Year in 2007. Samantha is a Millenial View columnist. She is currently attending Marymount University where she is pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice. Samantha is the manager of a whimsical boutique in Northern Virginia. She has been coming to library conferences since she was in middle school.
