2007 -The Iowa chapter made a concerted effort to attract University of Iowa (UI) School of Library and Information Science (SLIS) students and make them feel welcome at the Fall 2007 meeting, with the hope a student chapter might get started. Dr. Patricia Katopol, who joined the SLIS faculty recently,  would like to start a student chapter at UI.  We had over 40 attendees, and about half were students, the largest number of students we have ever had
