December 2007 -The Illinois Chapter awarded a Leadership Summit stipend of $1000 to an up and coming member. This year's Leadership Stipend went to Christina Stoll of the Metropolitan Library System. She will be attending the Summit in Louisville.

March 2008 - The Illinois Chapter awarded a Travel stipend of $1200 to a veteran member  (more than 10 years experiece) of the Chapter.  Awarded to Janice Keeler, a long-time member and Past-President of the Chapter.
