2007 -An agreement between SLA and the New Zealand Library Association Inc. (LIANZA) was signed in July. This agreement includes the statement: Each will offer the other organisation's members, the member's rates for their events. Joint meetings with LIANZA included a session on Professional registration conducted by Janet Upton of the NZ Treasury Library and a joint Christmas breakfast which was held in early December and attended by 25 special librarians.

 2008 - SLA/ALIA Agreement
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been confirmed between SLA and the Australian Libraries and Information Association (ALIA) will be signed by Stephen Abram and ALIA at the ALIA Conference in Alice Springs.  The agreement includes the statement:
Each will offer the other organisation's members, the member's rates for their events.
