2007 - The Alabama Chapter strengthened ties with the Alabama Library Association  through a presentation on   "Special Libraries and Special Librarianship in Alabama" at the Annual conference of Alabama Libraries Association.   Alabama also arranged a fall professional development workshop in "Learning Through Special Libraries", which was well attended by the chapter members as well as other information professionals from the state.
