The Texas Chapter is pleased to host a on February 7, 2013 from 6-8pm at . The 50th anniversary of Kennedy's assassination is in 2013 and the museum is recognizing the event with special exhibits. Museum tours will be provided and museum librarian Krishna Shenoy will open the Reading Room for our group. Be sure to join us to partake in Tex-Mex munchies along with beer and wine, plus Margaritas of course – seems only appropriate since the frozen margarita machine was invented in Dallas!
And, after the Thursday evening reception, please join us for Karaoke! The Uptown Bar & Grill hosts Karaoke Night from 9:30 pm-2 am. Please meet in the Hotel Lobby at 9:30 pm for transportation.

We hope you will enjoy one of our many hosted Dine Arounds Wednesday, Feb. 6th. Register at: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/DallasDineAround. For those that registered for a dine-around, please meet at the Registration Area at 6:30 pm. Each host will be present and visible for the groups. Look for the signs containing the restaurant names. And, later Wednesday evening, for those that like trivia....it's "Geeks Who Drink" night at the West End Pub at 1801 North Lamar Street. Trivia begins at 8 pm. Please feel free to ask the hotel for directions, as it is only 4 blocks from the hotel.
The Texas SLA Chapter will be raffling tickets at the Leadership Summit for a variety of gifts. Tickets are 1 for $1 or 6 for $5. Cash and checks will be accepted at the Registration /Hospitality Table on Thursday and Friday morning.
Attendees will be able to place their tickets on the prizes.
