    Craig,

We posted some info here about the KM Knowledge Services courses, but the folks at SLA headquarters are planning the sessions and speakers for the Leadership Summit itself. I believe they'll have more information about that when we get closer to the date. You might want to check back on the main page for the Leadership Summit from time to time.

    Hi Betsy,

Thank you for your response, and I understand that you're not directly in charge of content.

The early sign up deadline is fast approaching and we have to make our decisions very soon. For those of use who will be reimbursed we have to make our pitches to our bosses. It's frustrating that the organization isn't giving us the information and support to do that. In this economy we have limited time and financial resources to attend this event. I intend to use the least amount of these as possible, I'll have to dive in and run out and need to get the most out of it. Early preparation is essential to that goal.

    Thank you,

    Cynthia

A note...to all the members and volunteers from the SLA St. Louis Metro Area Chapter.  I had such a great time in St. Louis meeting you all.  Your hospitality was warming in spite of the bitter winter winds.  Your knowledge and expertise of your city was shared graciously and helped attendees make the most of their limited "off" time.

You also showcased what I'm sure will be a "best practice" with your raffle of St. Louis specific products.  Great fundraising idea!  Although I didn't win a specific basket, I won with an idea that will be used in the future.

Your energy and enthusiasm...your warmth and gracious hospitality...your assistance with registration and hospitality at all times of the day and night are greatly appreciated.  Our staff team relied on your on-site team tremendously.  And on your wiki team beforehand.  You can guess how much more expensive it would have been to fly in and house additional staff to make the meeting a success.

There is only ONE sport which is represented in SLA - our baseball caucus.  EVERYONE enjoyed the fantastic party at Busch Stadium.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!  I hope that you all had a wonderful time...and that students who volunteered came away with a sense of a bright and stimulating future...and that SLA will be their professional home for many years to come.
